How Can severe Stomach Pain Be Treated?

My daughter, 14, is having sudden severe stomach pain for the past two weeks. She has been to primary care doctor, urgent care, and ER. Tests completed- urinalysis, GI cocktail, blood work- CBC, liver, pancreas, kidney- , ultrasound, CT with contrast- all of which have been negative. Prescribed Reglan and hydrocodone for the pain. We are waiting to see pediatric gastroenterologist. Pain is localized to middle upper stomach area. She has vomited on three occasions with the pain. When she applies pressure to the area she said it helps but not when others press on the area. Food, acid reflux does not appear to be triggers- can be before eating or after. Heat, ice do not help either. Thank you, Gina

General & Family Physician 's  Response
It's epigastric pain sounds like gastritis as it is associated with food intake.

You have not mentioned her personality type but given her age 14 y/o she is going through puberty and hormonal changes and vulnerable to physical and emotional stress. This could be enough a trigger to precipitate abdominal symptoms in these persons. Giving adequate emotional support and moral education is one important part of treatment.

giving her antispasmodics Meftalspas could help her with pain and antacids and good nutritious diet will help her.

Hope her appointment with GE specialist is done.
let me know what he has suggested.

if symptoms persist please let me know.
Hope this helps her.
